Formed on February 14, 1957, the Western New York Quarter Horse Club, Inc. is the oldest Quarter Horse Club in the State of New York. When it was formed in Elma, New York in 1957, the American Quarter Horse Association was very young, having just been formed in Fort Worth, Texas in 1940 and Quarter Horse activities were just being organized across the country. Over the course of 52 years, the venerable club has endured, pursuing its goal of promoting Quarter Horses by sponsoring meetings, parties, seminars, clinics, horse shows, race meets and other opportunities to show off the extensive talents of the American Quarter Horse.
Scholarship
The Scholarship committee is proud to announce the award of $1,000 to Makaia Papasergi. Makaia's education plan is to earn her PhD in biochemistry, enabling her to conduct research methods to treat, and hopefully cure neurological diseases such as Parkinson and Alzheimer. Her sincere compassion to help people as well as her determination will serve her will in her endeavors.
